Last Thursday 3 artists from the Govan based project: "Weaving Truth with Trust" visited GalGael. They wanted to find out more about the traditional wool processing from raw wool, to teasing, carding, spinning and eventually weaving the woollen tread into a rug. They had a go on carding and spinning, as you can see in the photos. We shared knowledge, experience and stories, which was great fun. Please, check out the link to the project: "Weaving Truth with Trust"

The lovely and knowledgeable Christine MacLeod was a wonderful guide through the museum and we heard about the weaving tradition in the area. Old times became almost alive. Please, check out the link to the Weaver's Cottage
